Emily came up on Sunday
We had a great time.
She was due about lunch time.
I made the mistake of telling Dash to 'keep an eye out' for Emily way too early.
Dash just sits at the door looking out when I tell him that.
He just sits and 'keeps an eye out' for the person to arrive.
If they don't come for a long time, he has been known to change locations to sitting on the couch, but still looking over the back of the couch out the Folly glass doors to see Emily arrive.
She arrived.
He saw her first and gave her a big welcome!
We spent time examining my magnetic map of Europe, checking out the places we had been.
Then down to the serious business of looking at the travel brochures of South America.
Machu Picchu here we come.
Peru is very confusing.
First, none of the names make sense to the brain.
'Where's that?'
'How do you get there?'
'Hey, Antartica is close to South America. Let's go there.'
Moved my Globe of the World over to the coffee table.
Much spinning and examining.
More reading.
More spinning.
Lunch.
Internet hunting.
Still confusing.
'I like books. Let's get a book.'
4pm on a Sunday.
Off to Fountain Gate.
Bought 'South America on a Shoestring' and 'Peru'.
Both Lonely Planet books.
And then I said that I'd like to give Emily her own Globe of the World.
For her birthday.
She choose a beautiful blue with silver land mass.
Bit exciting really.
Back to the Folly.
As we walked in Emily said that she couldn't believe that she'd built this.
It is spectacular and amazing.
Red wine and chocolate...
Looking things up on Emily's world globe!
A lot of fun.
Great day.
No firm decisions.
But a lot of fun exploring ...
