...we walk, walk, walk, walk, meet an actual mule traffic jam on a narrow zigzagging path, I slip and fall, we walk, walk, walk....and then walk some more. This never ends!!!
...after 8h of walking we make it to the road!
...guys from Lanko are slow to pick us up at the ranger station and so Piotr flirts with female rangers again to kill time.
...it's dark so guys picking us up tell us there is no more transport to Santiago. Hitching won't work either apparently. I guess we're stuck.
...Lanko people offer us a room for US$90. It turns out to be a sorry dump of a hostel room in the attic with a shared bathroom. We decide to expand our search.
...Bags from mules seem to be missing a pair of crampons and one boot (all rented) - all of the stuff I was using. We will be explaining it tomorrow.
...we find a nicer hotel and marginally cheaper. Have a steak (mediocre but what to expect out here), find a bus company and tell them we will go with them tomorrow at noon if we don't find alternatives and we go to sleep.
