1. A long night (headache, windy) and two paracetamols later I woke like a newborn. The second (and last) of the required med checks (still stay off salt, O2 still ok at 91% at 4,350m).
2. Beautiful morning, night somehow less cold than 950 m below. Never dropped below 2,5C. Good tent!!! And I got my warm stuff now!!!
3. Breakfast and on the lookout for the world's most absurdly priced wifi (1US$/minute), thanks to which you're reading this. I'll try to update this every 2-3 days. Photos after I'm back to civilization of course, so check back. Today some light acclimatization hikes, 5,000m or above and back for the night.
4. Since I'd forgotten to wash my morning breakfast casserole and the food dried inside, I was doomed to drink chicken curry tea for the duration of today's hike.
5. My knee started killing me halfway into the trek. Maybe I won't even attempt the summit...
6. The "tear to open" spot on Argentine mayo sachets doesn't work. Instead they open nicely at a place directly opposite, always the same. Kinda reminds me of the old rabbi, airplanes and toilet paper joke...
7. I got a little lost on the trail and passed the first campsite without realizing it (it was empty) and then narrowly missed the second one. In all did 1050 m ascent. Not bad for acclimatization but I had planned to leave some stuff at the second high camp so I can use it later when I sleep there before the attack. Mission half accomplished. I remembered what a Romanian guy I'd met the day before said: there's only one trail, you ;don't need a guide. Well now I'm definitely getting one!

Ju Keeping our fingers crossed so tight that we can't work!
Yugz Wikicuagua announces that the peak is at 6.962 m (you should be able to touch the moon from there), so your O2 level will be at... -34% ? hopefully also is to notice that the best malbec wine is produced in this area so this may be the secret. Actually we have the low temperatures here too at elevation 100 m... but with almost no malbec.
Yugz PS : Best wishes to good old padre Gonzalo
