We have come to Poland because the wind would not let us point up as high as Germany, we are going to sail the inshore route through rivers and lakes to get to the Rugan Islands. We now find that our home by date has come forward as Tammy and family are being posted to Northern Ireland in mid August so we are going to try and get back before they get deployed. We can't say much about Poland as we arrived very late and tired after a long 79 NM crossing from Bornholm, the wind was stronger than forecast giving us almost 30 knots over the deck, with a big sea. It's amazing how much more the sea builds on an off shore passage compared to being close to land. This trip has now got us down to mainland Europe ahead of a spell of bad weather coming in. The bad weather just keeps coming and coming, it's never as bad as forecast but with high winds and rain most days,we along with other people are getting fed up with it.

Clive Williams Join the club! We have been working our way south towards Fehmarn but THIS WEATHER is getting annoying and we only make progress if we grab short weather windows to avoid too much wind, had 24kts on the way here to Tunø just north of Fyn itself. Hope for a quiet morning tomorrow but expect rain instead before the hi winds come back. Not a good summer. Good to follow your blog. Clive and Jane
