We sailed over to Hel in a F6 to be at the last place in the bay of Gdańsk we will stay for 2/3 days as the storm seas are now setting down. The Hel peninsular is a 20 mile strip of land and quite touristy. Day 2 in Hel we took the bikes on the train about halfway along the peninsula then cycling back on a lovely flat cycle route. We visited some more military museums, one where they built and tested the largest guns Germany ever used before dismantling them and moving them to Calais. We went in a good restaurant every night with very reasonable prices. We had to wait till the wind and waves were ok as the coastline of Poland is very exposed and impossible to get into the harbours in anything over a F5, the wind has gone from strong on the nose to nothing. Nothing is not great for sailing but at least it’s comfortable, we had almost 200 miles to cover so we went in 2 days 55 m and 85 would take us to Bornholm, from there we can work our way towards Copenhagen
