Such a wonderful drive from Bilbao to Santander. Plenty of lush green fields. From Santander the road heads inland and gets very tight and twisty. There is a gorge along the way, and it offers some stunning scenery, but the road is so narrow and tight, plus there is no where to stop and take pictures. Its an early start to make the 8am train to Bilbao. The trip is especially scenic as we get close to Bilbao. The only way to cover the places i want to visit, i have to get a rental car. The trip from Valencia to Madrid was by the fast train, 300kph fast. Madrid is just a 2 night stay before heading north to Bilbao.
