This morning we did some routine car stuff, or so we thought. Went to a Jiffy lube and Larry ended up having to call Freddie, our Tybee mechanic to figure out how to keep the oil filter from leaking. We awoke to snow and 25 degrees! The snow was light so we took a walk...cold but beautiful! We made another visit to Ft. Davis and had an informative chat with a volunteer about the fort. Today we head back East. From Fabens, just south of El Paso, we head southeast to Fort Davis Texas State Park. We left Big Bend NP this morning, destination, Cattleman's Steak House, in Fabens, TX. This is the original impetus for this trip. On the way we went through the Big Bend Ranch State Park, which included Terlingas, home of the International Chili Cook-off. Things I forgot about yesterday: 1. We saw our first Roadrunner! It ran across the road (go figure) and up a hill.
