Thursday 28 June (Oban Marina, Kerrera Island)

Rain, rain and more rain! Cath braved it to take the ferry back to Oban to complete shopping, while I re-installed the Autohelm, which had been delivered back very promptly - and it works! We will have to go through the process of going slowly round in circles to set the compass deviation once we get back to sea. I did some odd jobs about the boat and Cath did our laundry, and in the evening we ate yet more oysters and beautifully cooked salmon (Cath) and scallops (me) at the marina, this time not in the rain, but liberally smothered in 100% Deet to ward off the midges, another favourite feature of the West of Scotland! Hope to get off tomorrow, as the wind is scheduled to drop, though the rain will probably persist.
