Benjamins Round Britain Cruise
Arrived in the picturesque port of Fowey around 1900, watched by Robin and Tricia from the Town Quay as we approached. There were huge numbers of craft on this Bank Holiday Saturday, and the Harbourmaster told us just to find a boat about our size and raft up. We did so alongside a motor cruiser, then took water taxi ashore to ferry the Milans back to Vega for Evening Prayers (gin, whisky and white wine). Tall ship (possibly Phoenix from Charlestown) sailed in as we sat aboard. We then ferried back ashore for a meal at the Ship and nightcap at the Royal Fowey Yacht Club. Last water taxi returns to boats at 11pm, so an early night in a quiet mooring in one of the most lovely settings in the Cornish coast.
