Left Erldunda this morning for the short drive to Uluru (staying at Yulara). Thought that we had laid eyes on the rock for the first time, however it was Mount Conner, sometimes known as "fool-uru".

Took a little longer setting up camp as we plan to stay 4-5 days to make the most of the area.

Dropped in to the Pioneer Outback Hotel and paid $71 for a six pack and a bottle of wine. Bread and water only tomorrow.

Popped out for a quick view of the rock before bunkering down for the night. Wow.
