Cracker sunrise over the Devils Marbles, Baz caught it live whilst the other troops cuddled their pillows. Nearly last out of the campsite as we decided to cook up bacon & egg sandwiches on the BBQ. May have to try and walk that off later.
Left Devils Marbles to make our way further up North. Tonight's stop was always going to be somewhere to stopover so that we could get to Mataranka the following night. Was a very windy day so we just took our time.
Stopped at Tennant Creek for lunch and a few supplies. Lunch ended up being salad sandwiches in our caravan as there wasn't anything that looked inviting in town.
Was recommended by a couple of people to stay at Longreach Waterhole, about 1km the other side of Elliott, then 12km down a dirt/sandy track. When we drove through Elliott we were very sceptical as there were houses with barbed wire to keep the locals out, abandoned shops and houses and other houses with washing on the front fence. Oh well, we followed our fellow campers advice and were not disappointed, more like a lake than a waterhole however a beautiful place for a camp, a BBQ and (you guessed it) and open fire with marshmallows.
