Today was all about the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. We were determined to get a close up look at Uluru so decided to walk the full base track around the rock. The full 10.6kms. This was challenging at times but with a couple of snacks we got there. What an amazing cultural experience. Left Erldunda this morning for the short drive to Uluru (staying at Yulara). Thought that we had laid eyes on the rock for the first time, however it was Mount Conner, sometimes known as "fool-uru". Took a little longer setting up camp as we plan to stay 4-5 days to make the most of the area. Dropped in to the Pioneer Outback Hotel and paid $71 for a six pack and a bottle of wine.
