Pretty quiet day in Darwin today (it is Sunday). Sleep in for all before bacon and eggs on the BBQ. Pen & kids off to the pool while Baz did some work. Whilst the girls slept in the boys spent the morning on the water with Brian from Anglers Advantage. A tough day on the water for the boys, Baz landing 2 trevally, Jack dropping 2 salmon, however Brian's knowledge of the waterways, casting and retrieving soft plastics was a great learning experience. Today we were up early to get the ferry from Cullen Bay to the Tiwi Islands (made up of Bathurst & Melville). Although Melville is the home of the Rioli's, Jack was still happy to visit Bathurst (and even took his footy for a kick). Today was all about immersing ourselves in the history of Darwin. We first visited the Australian Aviation Heritage Centre, the main display being a giant B-52, one of only 2 on display outside of the U.S. The size of this plane had to be seen to be believed. Not a lot to report today. We left Jabiru and the Kakadu National Park and headed to Darwin. After reading all the Wiki reviews and comments for different options we selected the FreeSpirit Resort to stay at for the next few days.
