A slow start to the day as temperature got to 2 overnight. The caravan not as airtight as home, warmer to stay under dooner for as long as possible.
This morning we visited the Alice Springs School of the Air. This has been running since 1951 and has some amazing history on how the school has been taken to the outback community. The Alice Springs school was the first of its kind and believed to cover the the biggest area in the world - 1.3million square km's, even though the current school size is only 155 students.
We got a first hand view of a current class, using modern technology over internet & satellite to allow children in remote areas and cattle stations to have online face to face contact with teachers and other students. Jack & Poppy were amazed however happy to be schooling in Barwon Heads.
We then walked the local mall of Alice Springs. Interesting place with locals walking the streets, sitting in parks and rivers.
