Australia Trip 2017
Kununurra was established to service the Ord River Irrigation scheme in 1960. It has a population of approximately 6000.
There is quite a lot to do here but we chose to go and explore Lake Argyle.
It certainly is an impressive sight, holding more water than Sydney Harbour. (cop that Sydney).
You can drive around a lot of the area taking in the lake and the dam wall from many different view points.
After our exploring here we went back to the caravan park and got ready to move on the next day to a free camp along the way towards the WA / NT boarder. The big curve is finally starting to head east and then south to home territory, but a little more to go yet.
Next stop Darwin area.
