Mandurah.

More exploring the area to see what was on offer here. Once again plenty to see so we had to pick and choose what to put on our list.

The main thing was to go on a Mandurah Canal cruise to see the dolphins at play as the boat went up all the different canals.

It was fantastic to see these creatures in the wild and actually surfing on the bow wave of the boat. At one time two of the tour boats happened to be travelling together in the same direction and there would have been at least a dozen dolphins riding the bow wave. A sight not forgotten.

After that the next part was to travel up and down the canals and see some of the multi million homes with their million dollar boats moored at the privately owned jetties. Unbelievable as we were told the some of these homes are only used as "holiday homes".

The dearest home pointed out in the area was in excess of 12 million dollars, with a boat moored which would have been in the 2.5 to 3 million dollar range.

We cruised back to the canal area with heads spinning and into the real world to look at some of the enviormental work that is being carried out in the wetland areas, alll very inportant.

Next day it was walk around the Venecian Canal area, a very interesting area to check out.

After a relaxing couple of days it was time to move on to the big smoke of Perth.
