Carnarvon has a population of just over 9,000.
Small crop producers sell some of their products as in fresh fruit and vegies which have "real taste" compared to the supermarket produce.
One such farm is called Bumbaks which also makes the best and thickest banana or mango smoothies, which you could just about eat with knife and fork., and follow this with a chocolate coated banana or mango iceblock, (home made of course).
One of the drives we did took us to the Blow Holes. Another part of this spectacular coastline. The blow hole spout is formed by holes in the rock formation which forces the water some 20 metres into the air when the waves hit. (pics in album setion).
Once again there was plenty to see and lots of history trails close to the town, such as a short drive to the Town jetty which houses a small museum with memorabilia from bygone days. Also the lighthouse keepers cottage is in the same area.
After 4 days here it was time to move on north to a station stay Warroora. (pronounced warra).
