Finally arrived back on the coast at the seaside town of Esperance. A great little town with a population of approximately 14,800. Lots of interesting things to see here so we will be staying for about 7 days before moving on.
One very impressive site here is the extremly white sand around some of the bays in the Cape Le Grand national park, so white and pure looking that sunglasses need to be worn.
Also there are some massive rock formations which can take up a lot of time viewing and climbing if you want to. The higher you climb up these rocks the better the view of course, so up you go. (pics in album section)
Esperance has a deep water port where bulk cargo ships dock to load grain. There can be up to 6 waiting in the port area.
A good view of the town and the surrounding areas can be had from the Rotary Lookout.
The Esplanade or beachfront walk is very well kept with playgrounds and park benches for people and families to enjoy.
Looking out from vantage points you can see many islands just a short way off shore that the ships have to navigate when arriving and leaving the harbour.
Much more exploring to do in the next few days so an early night and into it tomorrow.
