Arrived at Hamlin Station. Something very different to where e have been staying but a fantastic place to stay. the property is something like 200,000 acre sheep property where the owners are diversifying into tourisim.
There is no water or power to your site but as we're self sufficient this didn't bother us at all.
The nights are so peacefull and quiet, the moon and stars something you just don't see in the city. from here it was day trippng to the little town of Denham and a little bit further to Monkey Mia.
Our though was to go into Monkey Mia and have a look at the village, not the dolphins as we had seen plenty of them before, but you have to pass through a gate where you are informed that it will cost you an addmitance fee, because it was classed as an attraction and our national parks and wildlife pass didn't cover it.
So me being me, a quick U turn and we were on our way back to Denham for a nice lunch.
I'am fast becoming an advocate that wild animals of any sort should not be fed by humans in their wild enviorment as they then become dependant on the human and unable to fend for themselves. ( that's only my view).
After lunch back to Hamlin with a few stops on the way to check out some scenery.
After some more peacefull nights and a walk around the lake at the station where bird life is in abundance the time came to hookup and hit the road again. This time bound for Carnarvon.

Lenore So glad you liked Hamelin Pool Station Stay. Did you get to see the Stromatolites? I agree with your thoughts on paying to enter Monkey Mia. We arrived at 2.30pm just for a look, and yes, had to pay, we were only there for about an hour. I'm enjoying your stories and photos, you seem to find beauty in most places.
Joy Geaney It was so good to talk to you Bevan you are becoming quite the tour guide, the station sounds like it is just what you want away from the tourist stops giving you that lovely peace and quite.
