14 mile camp site which is part of the Warroora Station. To come into the area you must travel 25 kilometres of narrow corrugated road which can be a problem if you meet a van coming the other way, be self sufficient as there are no facilities except a dump point and a rubbish tip.
If you want phone coverage it was a drive to a hill in the area know locally as Telstra Hill but maybe only one bar of servive at best.
The camp sites are all on the water at the edge of the reef or on a rise approximately 60 to 100 metres back from the water.
The peace and quiteness here is unbelivable with the most awsome sunsets. (see pic section).
There is nothing to do here except fish, read or just relax and look at the amazing colours changes of the water as the tide moves in and out.
Out past the reef whales were seen again as they made their way up the coast. With binoculars plenty were seen further out breaching and when two breached together it was a site not to be forgotten.
Friendly Rossco and his wife, the cartakers, did their rounds each morning in their little beach buggy which appears to be past the "doer uper stage", but it still does the job for them.
After a week of doing nothing except looking at the water and looking for whales we said bye to Rossco and moved on completely refreshed to Coral Bay. Hello to WA school holidays and wall to wall kids for a time, but all is good.
