So yesterday I journeyed back to Madrid from Salamanca after our final night together as a group from WYD. Too many sangrias and an early start saw me collapse into bed as soon as I arrived at my hotel. Then I said 'hi' to Matt. He was all refreshed after his 12 hour sleep.
After a little hangover maccas we went to the Prado museum. No Nessie no sunglasses and shoes there - just a large gallery full of Spanish art... A lot of paintings of Jesus and some beautiful and morbid Goya artwork.
Then a quick catch up with Suz and Roger (was with Suz and I through the holy land) before they went off to Portugal to visit Fatima. Early to bed for me!
This morning we jumped on a bus to Toledo - the capital of Spain about 500 years ago. Nice city but Matt is hungry even after buffet breakfast. We've been together for just over 24 hours and he's already complaining of malnutrition.

Nessie Awww I wish I could be there.... although there would maybe be more shopping happening! Poor Matt already suffering malnutrition... I didn't think that was possible traveling with you. Sounds like a great trip so far...making me very jealous, this is not a good thing as it leads me to looking into flights out of here...shhh
auntykaffabroad I've had to climb a fair few stairs - no elevators here and I think I'm going to have post back stuff sooner than expected, I'm having trouble lifting my bag... Anywhere!
