Eceabat, Turkey
We are on a bus again, heading back to Istanbul leaving the turkish peninsular. This morning we went snorkeling over a WWI wreck. It was deliberately sunk by the ANZACS to create a breakwater at the end of an existing jetty. The waters around the cove are still full of shrapnel and old ammunition that washes into the rocks. It creeps me out a little and saddens me to think of all the death that occurred right where we were swimming just short of 100 years ago.
