After stopping for lunch at a local roadside restaurant, we headed on for another 1.5 hours till we reached Matale which is famous for its spice gardens. Once there, we stopped at Sirilak Spice & Herbal Garden where we were shown round the garden whilst he explained about the various herbs and their attributes. We were then given a demonstration about how the various spices worked, and those who wanted them (John and Rodger) were given massages. After this quick demonstration we were shown to the shop before hopping on board the bus for another 1.5 hours to Kandy.
