Wake up call at 7.30, but had been up from 6.30 watching the sunrise and monkeys outside my room playing in the trees. Breakfast of curry at 8.00 and left Kandy for our next destination Nuruwa Eliya (or little England) 3 hours away. En route around 1.5 hours from Kandy we stopped at Glenloch tea plantation where we were shown round the tea factory and shown how it was made. The tour lasted an hour and were then offered a cup of tea in their shop. Sri Lanka is one of the largest tea producers of the world and is responsible for 1/5 of the worlds tea export, and Silver tip tea is the finest blend available.
