After meeting the weary travellers at 4.00, who had completed the further 17km from where we had left them at Horton's Plains, we made our way to Belihuloya Rest House (built during the British colonial period and situated next to a fast flowing river) where we would stay for the night. Following a quick shower and change, we all met in the bar area at 5.30 for cocktails before dinner. I finally retired to bed at 8.30.
