Day 19!
Today, I had class and then jumped on a small bus for a field trip to Sir Issac Newton's childhood home. It was renovated during the 1600s. We walked amongst the buildings and gardens. We also got to go into the actual house. In the gardens, we saw the famous apple tree that inspired Newton. While sitting on a bench though, a fire alarm went off in one of the buildings, and we were ushered off the property. The guides seemed very concerned, but then a lady came out and informed us that it was a drill and that we could go back in. Thus, I experienced my first English fire drill. (haha.) It really is the little things.
The weather has finally taken a turn for the better here! When I got back from my field trip, I put on shorts and a tank top and sat outside for a while. The wind was a little cold, but the sun felt amazing. It actually felt like summer for the first time here. I also needed to start my tan so I won't burn right away in Madrid.
Cannot believe that trip is this weekend!
