Day 27!
Today was another field trip for my class. We went to see The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night Time. Leicester proved to be an interesting town full of cute shops. They had a large outdoor market with tons of food and random items. I ended up getting lost in this giant city for a while and ended up having to back track to get to the castle which was less of a castle and more of the remnants of a castle. However, we met two very kind British people in an old church who told us some more British history and asked where we were from.
I went in a few vintage shops and looked at some dresses. They also had some cute purses that were sadly out of my price range.
Then we went to the Curve theatre. This theatre is spectacular. It has the latest technology and the coolest concept with giant walls that lift up so that the stage can be viewed from the street through a giant glass curtain. We toured after the performance, and it left me just as speechless as the performance itself.
In regard to the performance, I am at a lack for words. It was something I have never seen before and probably will never see again. There is a reason it got FIVE Tony Awards. I highly recommend it for any theatre lover. I was completely engrossed the entire time.
I enjoyed a sandwich from the train station and headed back to Grantham ready for some much needed sleep.
Tomorrow, I go to Scotland!
