Day 2!
Today, I spent my time in a few mandatory sessions including one on individual travel. I have two free weekends and am hoping to use them on some exciting adventures!
I also took a tour of Harlaxton Manor and got to learn a little of the history behind my new home. I truly appreciate the architecture a little more and learned the reasons behind the "secret passages."
Afterwards, with a few new friends, I took a hike through Harlaxton's Bluebell Trail. I was warned that they would not be around past this week and didn't want to take any chances. Bluebells were as far as the I could see! To quote Poe, "Oh the bells, the bells, the bells.."
When we ran out of trail, we headed back to the manor for our opening BBQ complete with all kinds of American goodies, including hamburgers and chicken wings. I never thought I'd be so happy to see them!
Looking forward to a great first day of classes tomorrow!

Pitty Pat The Blue bells are beautiful. Glad you are having some good meals. So glad you are seeing and learning interesting things and making new friends.
Pitty Pat Harlaxton Manor is beautiful , it really looks amazing. The forest looks like Robin Hood should be peering out from behind one of the trees!
Coffey Thank you for sharing your travels. Anxious to see the beautiful moments you capture. Enjoy this opportunity.
