Day 12!

No class today! Instead, we took a train to Sheffield to see Pride and Prejudice.

The whole trip started off well with nearly everyone in my class wearing someting cute for this performance. We also had little issue getting on our train and finding seats. Once we got there, we ate our packed lunch in Winter Gardens and set off to do our own things.

I went into the Sheffield museum and toured its current exhibits. One was on birds and several paintings of them. Another was on an art critic's collection of painting and fossils, all centered on nature. The last, and probably my favorite, was portrait photography. Each picture of a person included a small story about him/her and then information about the photography. Many people had amazing and inspirational stories.

Afterwards, I made my way to The Crucible theatre. Pride and Prejudice was very good. Although, I am still partial to the movie and book. Another classmate and I were constantly laughing at the actors playing Kitty and Mary. They were spot on with their characters which proved to be very entertaining.

When the show was over, two of my classmates and I went to the shopping district. Unfortunately, everything was closing at 5:30 pm. We went to one department store and then finally met back up with the rest of the class for dinner in a cute French cafe.

We then headed over to try and find our train only to be told that the only train leaving for Grantham was leaving right then. Thus, I got to dramaticly run through a train station to catch a train. Sadly, as we asked a worker before getting on the train, we found out this wasn't our train and instead were instructed to get on a different train, head in the opposite direction of where we were going and then grab a direct train to Grantham there. It made for a long night, but in the end, it was an experience nevertheless.

Also, it rained all day. Go figure!
