Today was a giant pain in the arse really. It started out well enough, after we checked out we were able to leave our bags at the hotel so we could have a further wander. We ended up at the Tate Modern art museum. I use the word art liberally, but what would I know. For example there was one piece that was a largish canvas painted all Ted except for a purple stripe on the right hand side. Ridiculous that this is hanging in a museum, but once again what do I know. There were some good things though don't get me wrong, but I think I will be more impressed by paintings and sculptures of actual things. We then had to drag ourselves to the international train station, St Pancras. When we entered this place the handle on my suitcase decided to give way and not work any more so I had to snap it off. That makes dragging my bag around a nightmare but it wasn't helped that we arrived in Paris during peak hour and got off at the wrong station which was a couple of kilometres away from our hotel. We also had no money to get a cab or anything really. So we had a fought day then I dragged my heavy bag all the way to the fourth floor up a small winding staircase only to find there is a lift. Even after all that I would still much rather be here than at work at home, so I don't want to whinge but it was a day full of it really.
