Another day another 300 kilometres. This morning we went to the archeological site in Olympia to see the ruins of ancient Olympia and the site where the Olympic Games where invented. The games were originally invented as a way to promote peace and all wars with Grecian city states involved would cease for the duration of the games. So not much to report today, woke up on the ferry after a stop near the Albanian border and then off to Greece. Arrived in Patras at around 3pm and then had about an hour and a halves drive to our hotel just outside Olympia. Our hotel is on top of a hill and has beautiful 360 degree panoramic views of the Greek countryside. In the history of this tour today will probably go down as one of the most boring days of the lot. All we did was drive from Rome to Ancona to catch our ferry to Patras in Greece. When we arrived in Ancona the ferry was late so we had to just stand or sit around and wait. We then boarded, found our cabin which is way nicer than we thought it would be and went and had a drink.
