What a day. Well it was actually quite boring up until about an hour ago. I had a brilliant sleep in until half past eleven this morning and then spent the next 4-5 hours on the ferry playing cards, 31 to be exact. We finally arrived back it Italy at Ancona and when we set off down the autostrada it felt like we had returned home. The countryside is so brilliant and everything is just better than Greece (except the islands). Saying that we really did enjoy Greece, but we are now more than ever fully in love with Italy. We are staying in San Marino (the worlds oldest republic, started in 301 AD) tonight and it is like living in a dream, especially at night. The wall and buildings and streets are so pretty, especially the three towers. Also everything is so close so in 15 minutes we saw the main basilica, the parliament building, the three old towers and a magnificent view. Also as we were leaving dinner we had part of the San Marinese army march by us doing drills in the streets an outside parliament. It lasted about 10 minutes but was very interesting to watch. Tomorrow we will do a bit of shopping here and hopefully catch the changing of the guards at parliament. I have really enjoyed this little country so far and would love to live here for sure, the bonus would be that you would have to get in shape quickly to walk anywhere around here as the hills and roads (which cars can't use in the old part of the country where we are staying) are quite steep. We will be in Venice tomorrow and we thoroughly cannot wait. Until next time, cya peeps
