I was woken up early ie 5am by French people, so set off at about 6am. It was still dark when I ventured out but fortunately there were French people with a torch in front of me.
I could tell it was going to be an extremely hot day even at this early hour and it was. The Maseta is really beautiful at the moment because the wheat hasn't ripened yet, it's a mixture of all hues of green dotted with the ubiquitous poppy, yellow flowers and blue cornflowers. Set against the cut glass blue of the sky,the scene was truly breathtaking.
The path seems endless and because it is so straight in places, gives the cruel illusion that the next village is not that far
I pushed myself to the limit today and unfortunately may now have to pay the price ( see photo)
