The albergue in Astorga was a private one ,with dormitories on 2 floors. This was fine the only problem was that the floor was made of some kind of cardboard with holes in, which gave the impression that the dormitory was absolutely massive. I really liked Astorga. It was a really hot day so a tough walk, but worth arriving. Astorga is a beautiful provincial town of about 2 to 3 thousand people and as I have come to expect on the Camino it also has an amazing cathedral. My Spanish is getting better day by day. I can understand a lot and can even have fairly meaningful conversations. I LOVE SPAIN

Albergue Paroquial I probably had one of the worst nights of my life with regard to sleeping , which was ironic given that it was a women only dormitory.
