We drove from Cooinda to Darwin. We arrived at a place where we had lunch and went into a Wetlands Centre. We saw and learned about lots of Northern animals and their habitats, and watched a movie about floods and how lots of animals die when there is a flood. Then we went to the jumping croc cruise. The boat driver fed the crocs and made them jump out of the water. We saw many different sized crocs such as the biggest one Dominator. Last time we were there Brutus was the biggest croc. We didn't see him this time. Dominator was very scary when he came up close to the boat because of how enormous he was. We could see his huge teeth so close!! He's about 70 years old.
After the croc cruise we went to a pub, the Humpty Doo Hotel, where we had afternoon drinks before heading in to Howard Springs where we stayed.
After we arrived at the caravan park and went over to the jumping pillow. Lachie and I met two teenagers on the jumping pillow we threw a ball around and did flips.
Then next day we went in to the city, I saw that the buildings were not very tall because of the cyclones. We went to the wave pool where we got boogie boards and floated around the pool, then when the bell rang, the waves started and we could do a bit of surfing. It's not as good as a real beach of course but it was still fun. Then we went to the pub for lunch it was so yum. After that we went to the speed slides, it was free. The speed slides are big slides that you go straight down on mats, you go so fast but dad always won. We finally got back to the van and went to the pool where we bombed and threw a ball around again.
Then we went to the pool where there is big slides, they were windy and enclosed. The next day we just relaxed and played on the jumping pillow. That night we watched the football, it was great because we haven't been watching any television.

Nannette and Poppy Den The croc cruise sounds good, but I'm not sure whether I'm game enough to go on one.... I wonder what has happened to Brutus?? the wave pool and slides sound like great fun
