We stayed the night in Cooinda and got up early and drove to Nourlangie and saw more Aboriginal art but it was different to Ubirr. At Nourlangie there were more warning stories such as; an aboriginal person was fishing and caught a fish and then someone cut the line and stole the fish. The fisherman followed them in to the cave where they were camped and then the fisherman rolled a big rock in front of the cave entry and blocked them in, and that is why you don’t steal. We also saw a cave where aboriginals lived for 20,000 years up to 1981. When we got back we had lunch and then went swimming in the beautiful resort pool. After, we went on the Yellow Water River Cruise. We caught the bus down and got on a boat and went down the river. We saw lots of crocs, buffalo, brumbies, pigs, wallabies and lots of different birds, such as, sea eagles, whistling kites, whistle ducks, Jesus birds, snake-necked darter birds and Jabiru.
The cruise and Kakadu was so relaxing it made me feel like the Aborigines felt.
When we got back we walked to the park restaurant and had a delicious tea and a drink then went home and went to sleep so we could get up early to head to Darwin.

Nannette and Poppy Den Aboriginal legends are very interesting. Gosh, you saw lots more on your river cruise than Poppy and I saw on one of our cruises, when we were away. I have never heard of a Jesus bird!! or the snake neck darter bird.
