Today we drove from Darwin all the way to Roper Bar. When we left Darwin we fell very sad. We drove through Mataranka again it was all the same still. When we got to roper bar we set up and went for a walk down to the crossing. We were having rock skipping competitions. Then we went back to the van and me and Lachie made a hole/mine, it was a lot of fun. When the sun set we went inside and stayed there because there were mozzies and lots of them, so we had tea and went to bed.

Butterfly falls

Today we drove from Roper Bar to butterfly falls. Today was a very big driving day, we drove 6 hours (all day). We stopped at Tomato Island and talked to the caretakers about how bumpy the road was. They gave us advice. We ended up taking it on and we survived. When we arrived a butterfly falls we went for a walk down to a stagnant water hole we couldn’t swim though. Then we set up and went back down to the water hole for happy hour we dug a deep hole and played tips while dad flew the drone. I kept thinking how beautiful it would be in the wet season when you could swim and the waterfall would be flowing down into the water. When we got back to the van we had a fire and tea. After that we got into bed and listened to an audio called The Maze Runner it was very good.
