First off: Merry Merry Merry Christmas.
Spent the night through a very very busy part of town. Our hostel had a little Xmas gathering with free food and booze: our little present!
Do after our little party we set off in a group: one American, one Brit, two Danish and us lovely Canadians.
Let's say the streets were hectic at minimal, I guess we are getting use to it here but still crazy.
We were searching for pizza hut and found it but they only had a set Xmas dinner at it was pretty expensive, so we said no like good cheap backpackers would.
Found a giant night market, you name it it was there. I have never seen a giant 8 foot shark on a table, waiting to get cut up, until last night that is.
Among other things were giant snakes, crocodile, dog and giant cooked birds.
We played it safe: safe in terms of food in China is not of the same standards back home, but you can't go to wrong with cheap chicken dumplings.
We left the hectic markets and shopping areas and made it back to our hostel.
We were very tired so we went to bed.
Woke up the next morning/ Xmas eve and skyped with Michelle's family; both a happy and sad moment when your not with family and friends but also happy from them, and like wise being happy for us but sad that we're not there.
One thing we can say us that being apart can produce a stronger more meaningful relationship when your away. That can be used towards any one: friend, partner or family.
Any ways we are going to spend Xmas here relaxing, grabbing a nice massage and maybe get a good dinner tonight.
Once again we wish you a happy Christmas and look forward to talking to Tyler's side of the family next.
Take care!
