So our blogging hit a little back burner but now back to normal.
We shall start of with Hong Kong once again. On the second day we found a gym within a hotel: after a few weeks not working out and being on many trains you really miss hitting the weights.
After that we had a few Skype sessions with our parents then crossed the river to the more business side with all the sky scrappers.
Used our little feet to climb the endless hills of HK, we found a trendy restaurant area, got a tasty and cheap dinner $9 Cnd for a three course lunch with a drink: not bad eh!
Walked more hills and found a "zoo" like park with lush gardens and lots of cool monkeys!
Walked even more and ventured back to our hostel across the water.
Later that night we thought we would check out a pub crawl (since we could not find the one in shanghai if our life depended on it). So this time we weren't missing it! Night was great full of lots of drinks and great bars talking to other travelers from all over the world. Needless to say our next morning was not so great as we had to leave our room by noon and head on our long journey to gangzhou then nanning. So after subways, trains and a ton of walking with our heavy bags and smushed like sardines in the subways we finally made it to gangzhou only to find out we weren't able to get tickets to nanning that night. So tired and frustrated we got a hotel for the night and woke up early and headed for another 13.5hour train! And better yet they didn't have anymore soft sleeper so we were stuck in the hard sleeper cabin 3 bunks high with not even enough room to sit up haha. Oh and everyone staring at us like we have horns on our heads and very blunt about it too.
Anyways we made it to nanning!!! This is where we will be for christmas and actually as I write this were having a Christmas party with Christmas music playing ! This is the most Christmas feel we've had all trip!
We will have our visas for vietnam by Tuesday and head there then. For now cheers and merry Christmas. We definitely miss family more now that it's Christmas.
T&M xoxo
