So, after going to Universal Studios although it was great we decided to look at a few reviews on Magic Kingdom, which we also hoped to go to, to make sure it wasn't also dated, turned out; it is!! Reading these reviews we re-evaluated our choice and decided to go back to Universal, except to the Island of Adventure this time, turned out, great choice! Slightly upset I didn't get to see the big castle and Minnie Mouse though :( We also decided to get express tickets for this day, being in 35 degree heat we didn't fancy standing in crowded queues for over an hour.
Another manic day of fun, we arrive and hop on the biggest rollercoaster there (with our express ticket, so much better!) Both being maybe too old for this it was fun, although we both come off with a headache, luckily this wasn't enough to stop us. Again, we managed to get on every ride there, they were all brilliant fun. Again, Harry Potter is absolutely fantastic, Hogwarts village and rides was really impressive, any fan would be in their element. We tactfully leave the water rides to the end of day, getting fully soaked right through; best fun rides in both parks for sure.
We loved this park. Much better for us, more to do, more up to date and having the express tickets was such a god send. Although, this has made quite a big dent in our pockets, so realistically anyone who brings kids might want to be prepared to re-mortgage their house or move into a box for a bit to afford this one, tickets, food, even water costs are sky high, keeping tight fisted we hid around the corner and ate our sweaty cheese sandwich pack lunch. My only regret is that I wish we had done the both parks in the same day with the express ticket, this would've allowed us to get on the Hogwarts Express and saved us a bit of money and time but this aside, really enjoyed our Orlando park experience, highly recommended.
