I didn't drink as much last night and I drank nearly 1.5 litres of water before I went to sleep and I still woke up feeling worse than yesterday! What's that all about! I don't think I felt as bad as Scott did, he feeling rather sick aswell but he was actually sick this morning again!
We skipped out on breakfast, we managed to get late check out for cheap on the room so we have it until 3pm because we don't leave until 6pm for the bus so we didn't want to be hanging around wasting a day not being able to go to the pool because we wouldn't have had a place to shower and get ready.
We had a late lunch at a little restaurant on the strip, it had plastic chairs so one of the cheaper ones! (Plastic chairs and metal tables = cheap food)
I was feeling really nauseous now but I thought it was from hunger so I had a tuna sandwich, it was nice but I couldn't eat all of it and I had a really big stomach cramp that felt like I was having an Indian stomach episode, they are the worst!
I did eventually feel a bit better but still not hundred percent, we went back and just lay in the air con room. It was freezing, it was so nice! I looked at the weather forecast this afternoon and it said that the temperature was 37 degrees today - how ridiculous!!!
After a shower and check out we looked around for a pharmacy that sold some sleeping tablets because we weren't sure that tonight's 14 hour bus trip down to Phuket was going to be a great one as we hadn't seen any sleeper buses in Thailand yet like we had in Vietnam and Cambodia.
We had no luck, even when we did find a pharmacy, we would ask for sleeping tablets they quickly frowned and shock their heads 'no!' I was getting the impression that they were against these things?
We are in need because my sickness motion tablets are quickly running out, I may have to go to a boots store somewhere before we leave Thailand to see whether they sell them here because those tablets are awesome sleeping tablets!
We went back to the hotel and passed the time on the rooftop trying avoid the sun, it didn't stop us from sweating like crazy though! I finished the marching powder book - it was so good!
We got picked up at 6pm from the hotel, went outside with a little funny looking thai man with a pony tail and a plait in his beard, waiting for us were about 10 other people with their rucksacks. All getting on the same bus but going to different destinations. Our guess was that the bus was going to Phuket but stopping surat Thani to drop the people off that were going to samui and phangan for the full moon party. We didn't get on the bus until 7pm and then we found out that the buses weren't sleeper buses like Cambodia and Vietnam, they are just normal buses with a little foot stool and recline. Once the foot stool was up there was no room what so ever to put your legs out straight, you had to bend them up towards you to sit sort of comfortable. This was going to be a long night!
We didn't even get outside of Bangkok until 8.30pm! This was definitely going to be a long night!
The Russian couple that were in front of us fancied reclining there chairs, they did ask at first if the amount they had gone back was okay and it was hardly anything, we still had a little room to manoeuvre, we had to sleep sidewards so we could both crouch our legs up, it was like a jigsaw puzzle and once one of us had to turn to our other side the other one had to move aswell. It was so uncomfortable but we fell asleep at about 10pm and we got woken up at midnight to get out and have a break for 20 minutes, we were so tired and just wanted to go back to sleep but we forced ourselves out of the bus to have a stretch, we are some spicy scoop of curry on steamed rice which wasn't great so we left basically all of it and I grabbed a banana instead.
Back on the road, I swear the driver never went below 50-60mph, he was a loonatic! Even asleep you would wake up with the sudden feeling that the bus was going to topple over because of his horrendous driving!
