We had a much needed lie in this morning and breakfast in bed. Well breakfast is bread and jam. Better than nothing though! We checked out at 12 and waited for our shuttle bus to pick us up and take us to Sanur, this time the bus was full!
The journey only took around an hour and we had to get a taxi from the bus stop to the hotel, they spoil it for themselves these taxi drivers. They wanted to charge 80,000 some of them and I always say no, meter! I know how far it is, I have google maps! Then they give in with a face like a slapped arse! Me smug as ever because I proved someone wrong! Haha.
In the end the journey cost us 20,000 (£1) by meter. Bloody rip offs they are!
The hotel seems nice, there's a pool that's in the sunshine and the room was clean and modern, alright for £7 a night! We even had the privilege of English speaking movies! The only down fall was the smellies in the bathroom stunk the room out, it smelt like the cleaners they put in the urinals. Not good.
We went for a bite to eat down at the beach, which seems to be not as nice as what websites have made out. There are just boats everywhere, big tanks out from shore a little. The shallow water is clogged with seaweed and the sand is full of litter. We won't be going on that beach!
We went back and had a dip in the pool and watched a movie or two before heading out for some tea.
It's really quiet in this place, we walked up to another busier part but still wasn't booming. Not for a holiday destination. Most of the restaurants had a high price tag but we did manage to find one that combined Italian/Chinese and Japanese. The waitress was fast to serve us and didn't have two of my choices so I didn't really end up having what I wanted. I wanted something Japanese but that didn't happen. Plenty of time to get that though later on! Haha!
