Hi Chaps!

Still messing about in Blenheim with Laura. Having lots of fun though. Her friends are hilarious! Went to a party for one of her work friends, it was really good fun and we played singstar and twister and had a few drinks . It was nice to meet some real kiwi's (some of whom were a lot older) they were so nice though and really friendly. They wanted to know all about the UK and loved my accent ha!

Been to a few nice places in Laura's truck! Went to see a lovely sunset just out of Blenheim. There are so many vineyards here, everywhere you drive you just see heaps of fields full of lovely grapes to make the lovely wine!! We wanted to go swimming in the local river on Sunday but it was raging and really muddy due to the torrential rain we have had, so we couldnt do that. So instead we bought a paddling pool and put it up in the garden! Its awesome though, it has seats in it and head rests! We had some champagne aswell to make ourselves feel swanky! Its looking a bit sorry for itself now.

We made about 10 pasties last night, it took forever! We used Laura's nan's recipe (keeping up the Cornish tradition in NZ!) but we couldnt really understand it all. Ended up with more pastry than filling...but they were fun to make!

Not much planned for this week, probably just go out and about and do some more cooking (im trying to do a lot of the cooking, well attempting to as they have put me up for so long!), will probably go out in Blenheim this weekend. Should be interesting as its about the size of St Ives!!!!
