Yesterday was a big top sites day. We started by going to the louvre. We had bought a museum pass so instead of waiting in the 1 km long main security line. So yesterday was a bit of a travel day we. Lesuorely got up. Tidied the apartment and loaded the car. Drove to the bordeaux train station and hopped a high speed train to Paris. So today was our last full day with the car and last full day not in Paris. We woke at 5 to be in line to get tickets to font de guame by 7. We arrived there and were numbers 5 and 6 for tickets. We sat and chatted with the other people until the ticket window opened at 930. We figured all the tickets were spoken for by about 9am. We then toured the first cave 52 tickets a day. So we are now waiting in the cold for tickets to the prehistoric caves. So it’s an awesome time to catch up on the blog. Yesterday, we saw chaumont sur Loire. It was pammie’s favorite. It was smaller but in a u shape at the edge of the cliff. It had a marvellous view and many well finished rooms. We then drove the 4 hours to our Airbnb in Dordogne. It’s beautiful and we had a relaxing night before our 5am wake up call today.

So yesterday we did our main chateaux day. We started at chanonceau. It is a beautiful Château that literally is over a river. It is quite grand and it was every bit as enchanting as it looked in pictures. We then went to Cheverny. I was really looking forward to seeing the feeding of the hound dogs.
