Today we spent the day at mont st Michel. It was as amazing as it looked in all the pictures I had seen. We headed out early as we had read most of the bus tours make the island packed by 11. We had been to the top and toured the abbey and were starting to make our way back down by 1130. And it was getting busy by then. I don’t know how to describe it but mont st Michel was just amazingly beautiful. I’m so glad we went and even more happy we decided to say in a hotel beside it.

Anyway in mid afternoon we started our drive to the Loire valley. We are currently now holed up in our new Airbnb which is beautiful but not much bigger than a tiny house. But it really is lovely.

We are looking forward to our chateauxs tomorrow.
