So we are now waiting in the cold for tickets to the prehistoric caves. So it’s an awesome time to catch up on the blog. Yesterday, we saw chaumont sur Loire. It was pammie’s favorite. It was smaller but in a u shape at the edge of the cliff. It had a marvellous view and many well finished rooms. We then drove the 4 hours to our Airbnb in Dordogne. It’s beautiful and we had a relaxing night before our 5am wake up call today.

So yesterday we did our main chateaux day. We started at chanonceau. It is a beautiful Château that literally is over a river. It is quite grand and it was every bit as enchanting as it looked in pictures. We then went to Cheverny. I was really looking forward to seeing the feeding of the hound dogs.
