Surftastic week and living at Uluwatu with Tero was awesome, but now I live at Ungasan with my usual roommates Sara, Ole, Christiane and Vivianne in a new villa (yeah we had to move again, luckily just a neighbour house). Tero's girlfriend Mirva arrived yesterday in the sunny island of Bali after some serious delaying and now they live at Uluwatu together. Also Arto and Mari came back from the Gili Islands and are also staying at Uluwatu, so it's a lot of familiar faces here now. Otherwise the weekend was quite easy and I actually spent it doing some school work aside of surfing. Last couple of days the waves has been very small and today I didn't even try to surf... I'm quite lost what should I do with the free time without surfing, but the forecast is promising better so this would be a good time to get my shoulders some rest.
Last saturday there was an accident at the airport area, when Lion Air airplane landed to the ocean because of some unknown reason. There was over a hundred people on that plane, but fortunately no one got killed. This accident has been the most heard news all around in Bali, so today we decided to check the crash site. We drove near the airport and from the beach we were able to get a boat to take a closer look. It was quite exciting to see an actual airplane all crashed down into the ocean, but I kept thinking the moments of horror inside that airplane while it was crashing down... not cool.
Bali time has been quite regular here and I don't have much to tell you beside the surfing stories. I still cherish every day I got to spend here, haven't regret at all the time when I decided to attend this exchange program. I'll get back in business, when I have some stories to tell you so have a good one until that. Peace Out!
