Return from my spring break felt like always coming from a holiday, sad that it is over but still nice to be in the familiar hoods again. My last days in Kuta Lombok went quite peacefully and last saturday it was time to say goodbyes to my friends there. Travelling around and meeting new people means always that you have to say goodbyes. When you share your moments with your new friends in a certain place, you build a special bond with them and cherish that time you had together. Then after goodbyes you wonder when or if you gonna see them anymore... hopefully we'll meet again. Back in Bali I didn't have any accommodation because we gave up our house in Pecatu. So I called my former roommate Henkka, who had a room in Seminyak, and stayed there that first night. Next day I rented a scooter from the same place as before and drove to Ungasan (South of Bali), where my other roommates from the previous house (Sara, Ole, Vivanne and Christiane) had rented a villa and where most of my stuff was stored during my journey. This villa is quite nice 2 floor apartment, space enough for all of us, still close to school and surfing spots are near, so I decided to stay there with my new/old roommates at least until 15th of May. Here's some pictures from the house:
Last tuesday my friends Arto and Mari landed on Bali. They stay at Kuta and I've been hanging out there a lot during these previous days including some surfing at the Kuta beach also. Yesterday they came to see our house here in Ungasan. First we went to the market to buy some groceries (+ some cold Bintangs) and then we cooked some spaghetti and tomato/sausage sauce... actually Arto and Mari did all the cooking, but let's say I was involved, somehow. I've cooked some eggs, noodles and tuna here but if I remember correctly, this was the first time I actually ate real homemade food... so nice dinner with my dear friends from Finland and my roommates Christiane and Vivianne. Our Chefs Mari and Arto at the picture below:
I've been here now almost three months and like always the time goes by so fast. Couple of days ago, when I wrote an email concerning my summer job possibilities, the fact of coming back to Finland hit me quite hard. I still have around 2 months left here, so no panic yet... but it's not enough!!! Let's put that thought aside and enjoy this weekend before going back to school on monday. Also tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for a lot: My brother, The Dude who taught me the awesomeness of surfing, is coming here for the whole April, Bujah! See ya all next month, Peace Out!
