Day 57 - Carnarvon to Galena Bridge Rest Area (358kms/4hrs)

We had a lazy morning and Rog cooked bacon & eggs for breakfast. The kids had some downtime and Bronte did a physie practise.

We left Carnarvon at 10:30am and had a driving day. We spotted a wedge tail eagle, emu, goats, cattle, birds and wildflowers. We fuelled at Billabong Roadhouse and arrived at Galena Bridge South Rest area around 2:30pm.

We had lunch then went for a walk to the river which was very clear and we wanted to go for a swim to cool off but there was lots of weed.

Instead Josh made 2 boats using corona beer cans, paddle pop sticks, elastic bands and masking tape. We then walked back to the river to test them out and I was impressed with how they moved through the water.

We then had dinner and watched a movie.
