From Sicily. We are really enjoying it here. The people are a little more friendly and a lot more helpful. The coast is very mountainous on the northern side of the Island but in the mid and south it is rolling country side. Olive trees, citrus groves, grapes and many vegetables grow very easily here and we are enjoying the plentiful choice and supply at very cheap prices. We stopped to buy 1 melon and was given it, so I gave him `1 euro and in return he gave us 3 melons. This would be the nicest camp ground to date, very hard to find but right on the med and nestled amongst olive trees. It is packed tonight as the camp ground last night was. The nasty wind is just starting to die down, 7.00 p.m,. fortunately a back wind on the road. We are presently on the southern coast of Sicily at Avola, just south of Siracusa.
